Anniversary: Sun Tzu and the Art of Litigation - celebratory pricing.

Friday, 3 February, 2023 - 05:32

Nigel Morris-Cotterill

It's a decade since the publication of the ground-breaking litigation textbook Sun Tzu and the Art of Litigation appeared. The author decided to celebrate with new prices.

Litigation is not easy for lawyers or their clients and the techniques that bring success are ancient.

They are the techniques written about my Sun Tzu, thousands of years ago. His tactics showed how to win but, equally importantly, how not to lose and amongst the lessons are things that don't work but end up costing time and money for a negative result.

"I wrote Sun Tzu and the Art of Litigation because I was seeing a deterioration in the conduct of litigation. Inefficiencies were increasing, there was a worrying tendency to simply frustrating the other side, perhaps in the hope of starving them out to defeat a stronger case. It is true that there are times when siege is actually a beneficial tactic. But mostly it just annoys the court and runs up costs on both sides. Litigation should not be protracted, it should not be won by attrition. That's what the book is about: it's as much about the attitude of the litigators as it is about the actual case."

Sun Tzu and the Art of Litigation is not based on any jurisdiction but it does lean towards Common Law systems.

The book is available through Amazon group websites as both a Kindle e-book and a paperback.

The code for the Kindle e-book is: B00EWSB4E2
The code for the paperback is: 1479136905

The new prices are GBP10 and its equivalents for the Kindle e-book
and GBP20 and its equivalents for the paperback.
