WASHINGTON — Today, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Michael Faulkender spoke at the 62nd Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group (BSAAG)plenary meeting organized by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). At this public-private partnership event, Deputy Secretary Faulkender discussed the Trump Administration’s guiding principles for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) modernization.

The world needs to address the growing threat of online child sexual abuse and child sexual abuse material. But the hunt is being defined by those with a lack of knowledge and experience of what they are dealing with and as a result superficial and erroneous demands are being placed on those who are not best placed to address the topic. 

It's time to look deeper and see who really has the power. Because so far, the demands are to require the wrong people to look in the wrong places.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is the Region's central bank and its Chief Executive serves the same function as a Governor in fully independent states. When he talks about the future of Hong Kong's economy, he does so with considerable authority. In this speech, he sets out the plan, more than simply a vision, to restore Hong Kong to its former status as the Crossroads of Asia - and the plan is feasible. But, the rest of us have to ask ourselves, can such a plan succeed in a borderless technological world?
