Investigation papers were submitted and this week it has been announced that her case is being investigated by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission which has a strong record of success against difficult targets.

Loo will now be questioned as to not only her own role in the scandal but in order to obtain evidence against others, including Jho Low who remains a fugitive.

Prosecutors have seized two paintings by Picasso, several watches, a number of handbags and properties in London, the USA and Switzerland, worth a totak of USD20 million, approx, a drop in the ocean compared to the thousands of millions of dollars that the scheme generated.

Loo has agreed to surrender these and other assets to the Malaysian government as reimbursement to 1MDB.

Loo had scuttled between Thailand, Cambodia, Macau and China but had ended up in Myanmar where, after 5 years on the run, she stayed at the Malaysian embassy for two months before her return, by agreement, to Kuala Lumpur where she was arrested, according to a report by Channel News Asia.

Loo is the second fugitive to have been returned to Malaysia in recent months: KEE Kok Thiam, another key figure was deported to Malaysia from Macau after he overstayed on his visa and was arrested when his plane landed.
