Child sex trafficker is now amongst the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted" with a USD250,000 reward.
The case seems an odd one to add to such a list and to offer such a substantial reward: he is alleged to have trafficked "at least" one child across one state border.
But that's not what's really going on "“Fields has allegedly demonstrated a pattern of abusing minor females in his circle that are entrusted to his care, manipulating them to earn their trust quickly and using their own resources to take advantage of them," says the FBI in St. Louis, Missouri.
That "one child" statement is because the policy in the US is usually to charge one count, in order to get access to a full range of judicial tools, and then to add more charges once the suspect is in custody.
According to the FBI "the alleged sex trafficking of at least one child in Missouri between approximately 2013 and 2017. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Fields on December 8, 2022, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri after he was charged with sex trafficking of children."
